About the Role
The Compliance Officer: Security role at BidAir Cargo: Interloc Freight Services is a critical position that supports the implementation and maintenance of our Security Management System, ensuring compliance with SACAA and other regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, you will assist in managing security service providers, implementing preventive security measures, and fostering a culture of security awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Aviation Security Program in compliance with CAA and company requirements.
- Conduct regular security vulnerability assessments and recommend preventive measures.
- Document assessment findings and communicate deficiencies to relevant stakeholders.
- Track corrective actions and verify closure of non-compliances.
- Foster security culture.
- Participate in external audits and facilitate compliance with audit requirements.
- Report all security incidents and breaches to management promptly.
- Log incidents on the IQSMS system and ensure thorough investigation.
- Track and verify closure of security incidents and maintain detailed records.
- Prepare incident reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of security service providers.
- Ensure all security equipment and consumables are serviceable and properly maintained.
- Verify that only authorized personnel operate security-related equipment.
- Maintain records of all compliance activities for audit and regulatory purposes.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, or related field (NQF Level 6 or equivalent)
- Drivers License
- Auditor Training
- Security Management System Training
- Safety Management System Training
- Risk Management Training
- Aviation Security Level 3
- Dangerous Goods Group A
- Understanding of the Health and Safety regulations
- Large Warehouse Environment
