Job Description

Ivanplats is looking for a Load Haul Dump (LHD) OPERATOR REF: IVP- MNG- 2522 IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this mine of the future. Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills : Matric/ NQF Level 4 LHD operators training certificate/ Licence. Two (2) years experience working as an LHD operator. Competent B certificate Responsible for safe loading and transportation of ore within the mine. Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: Minimum of 1 years practical experience in operating LHD equipment in an underground mining environment. Medical Certificate of Fitness to work underground. Knowledge of underground trackless mobile equipment practices and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to: Optimal utilisation of LHD equipment to achieve mining targets as required by the mining plan. Minimisation of machine damage by adopting good operating practices Loading and hauling of material to trucks and underground tip excavations. Assist the load & haul miner to perform workplace Safe Declaration. Ensure that the machine is refueled and cleaned at the end of every working shift.
