About the Role
We are seeking skilled Wet Spray & Powder Coating Operators to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for coating, operating and setting up various types of coating machinery, and ensuring the quality of our finished products. If you have attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and applying adhesives or other preparations required before coating.
- Select, mix, and prepare the coating substances based on specific job requirements.
- Operate and set up various types of coating machinery, such as spray guns or rollers.
- Monitor the application process to ensure even distribution of coatings.
- Conduct quality assurance tests to verify thickness, adherence, and consistency of the coat.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Record process parameters and results accurately in the production logs for quality control purposes.
- Identify and troubleshoot process or equipment problems to minimize downtime and waste.
