POSITION PURPOSE To oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team and coordinate contractor activities, ensuring that all site facilities are maintained to high standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures timely execution of maintenance tasks, contractor performance, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, supervise, and motivate the on-site maintenance team. Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Coordinate and monitor contractors to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Respond to and resolve maintenance-related issues and complaints promptly. Ensure compliance with EHS, fire safety, and regulatory standards during maintenance work. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, contractor performance, and equipment status. Support sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives through efficient resource use. Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on facility improvement projects and operational planning. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Skills: o Strong leadership and team management abilities o Effective communication and interpersonal skills o Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure o Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and tasks simultaneously o High attention to detail and organizational skills Competencies: o Solid understanding of maintenance processes and contractor management o Knowledge of EHS and regulatory compliance in maintenance operations o Analytical thinking and practical judgment o Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Grade 12 or technical equivalent Technical certification or diploma in mechanical/electrical maintenance (preferred) Minimum 23 years of experience supervising maintenance teams and contractors Working knowledge of modern EHS standards and practices Experience in industrial or facilities maintenance environment
