Job Description

About the Role

A leading modular engineering solutions company is seeking an experienced Estimator to develop accurate, defensible cost models for engineering projects. The successful candidate will support commercial bids across FEED, EPS, and modular product deliveries by building detailed cost estimates, coordinating with technical teams, and ensuring alignment with approved cost structures and pricing logic.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate cost models for modular engineering solutions, FEED deliverables, EPS conversions, and configurable modules
Estimate labour, materials, fabrication, electrical/instrumentation builds, logistics, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle costs
Ensure alignment with approved cost structures, overheads, multipliers, and pricing logic

Requirements

Strong analytical and numerical skills
Experience building cost models for engineering projects
Understanding of labour, materials, fabrication, logistics, installation, and commissioning cost drivers
Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and engineering specifications
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication)
Strong administrative and organisational skills

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
No formal qualification, but strong proven experience in estimating within engineering, fabrication, modular plants, or related technical environments
