About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and registered Fire Equipment Technician to join our team in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape. As an IQTEX employee, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our portable fire extinguishers, while also providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, refill, and certify portable fire extinguishers (DCP, CO, Water, Foam)
- Install extinguishers and safety signage
- Maintain compliance records and client reports
- Support audits and train junior technicians
Requirements
- SAQCC Registered (Portable Fire Extinguishers) – Non-negotiable
- Matric + relevant fire equipment certification
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum 12 years experience under SANS 1475
- Strong technical, compliance, and documentation skills
Qualifications
- Firefighting qualification (advantageous)
- OHS certification (advantageous)
- Fire risk assessment training (advantageous)
