Matatiele: Financial Accountant – Matatiele (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Matatiele on a hybrid basis. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing invoices and reconciling with purchase orders and goods receipts
• Processing the daily cash books and petty cash
• Overseeing the daily cash office work
• Balancing the trade accounts between Arch and Pastel HP monthly processing
• Month-end journals
• Management accounts
• Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments
• Manage the loading of vendor payments and account details
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance
• Proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, and bookkeeping roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Pastel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
