SEASONED VENUE MANAGER & WEDDING CO-ORDINATOR (Stellenbosch Winelands) We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Venue Manager with extensive experience in Wedding and Event Coordination to lead operations at our exclusive, premier wedding destination in the heart of the Cape Winelands. This esteemed venue is renowned for its boundless scenic options, lush lawns, and breathtaking mountain views, maintaining its status as a preferred choice for discerning clients for over a decade. The ideal candidate will uphold and enhance our reputation for excellence. This role is integral to maintaining and elevating the prestige of our client’s exclusive wedding and event venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for the seamless, end-to-end management of all venue operations while personally overseeing the coordination and execution of high-end weddings and bespoke events. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrable track record in high-end venue management and complex event coordination within a similar high-calibre setting. Key Responsibilities: Venue & Operations Management: Oversee all daily venue operations, ensuring the property (including the lush lawns and scenic grounds) is maintained to the highest standard reflective of a premier destination. Manage supplier relations (catering, dcor, technical, etc.) to ensure consistent quality and adherence to service level agreements. Conduct regular site inspections, proactively identifying and resolving potential operational or logistical issues. Assist the owner to manage the venue budget, cost control, and resource allocation efficiently. Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, licensing, and insurance regulations. Wedding & Event Coordination & Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all booked clients from contract signing through post-event follow-up. Lead the planning and flawless execution of all scheduled weddings and events, paying meticulous attention to detail regarding client briefs, timelines, and vendor coordination. Conduct venue walkthroughs with prospective clients, effectively showcasing the boundless scenic options and mountain views to secure bookings. Develop and manage detailed event timelines, floor plans, and run-of-show documents. Oversee on-the-day coordination, managing the setup, event flow, and breakdown, ensuring a world-class guest experience. Team Leadership & Sales Support: Lead, mentor, and manage on-site operational and coordination staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism. Collaborate with the sales team to drive venue utilization and maximize revenue potential. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Formal qualification in Event Management Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality, luxury events, or premium venue sector. Strong administrative and commercial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and revenue optimization. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse operational and coordination teams. Exceptional; polished, and professional communication skills (written and verbal) Thorough knowledge of current event safety standards and operational best practices. A valid drivers license and reliable transport are essential due to the location in the Cape Winelands.
