Our client is looking for a Farm & Lodge Manager who leads infrastructure upkeep, property maintenance, and safety compliance at a selfcatering safari lodge within the iconic Hluhluwe area. You will ensure all facilities are in excellent condition and ready for guests, while managing maintenance personnel and aligning daytoday tasks with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on maintenance and repair of lodge facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
• Oversee building projects and lodge upgrades from planning to completion
• Manage a small maintenance team and coordinate external contractors when needed
• Ensure all facilities are guest-ready and comply with safety regulations
• Basic first aid provision and adherence to health & safety protocols
• Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles (including TLB operation or equivalent)

Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Proven experience in building, construction, and property maintenance
• Hospitality or lodge management experience, especially in remote or safari settings, highly desirable
• Practical skills in electrical, plumbing, and structural repairs
• Basic first aid certification
• TLB or equivalent machinery operation license
• Knowledge of animals and wildlife safety protocols
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Own vehicle

Remuneration & Benefits

• Basic Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month (depending on experience)
• Accommodation: Unfurnished on-site accommodation (meals not included)
