Job Description
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the industrial, mining or engineering products or services sectors.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in export sales or international business development.
- Experience in managing international client relationships and sales processes.
- Matric.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field with a technical back ground.
- Additional Certifications in international trade, export management, or related areas, are a plus.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to target markets can be a significant advantage (e.g. Spanish, French or Mandarin).
- Conduct market research to identify potential markets, industries and clients.
- Analyse market trends, competition and customer needs to develop sales strategies.
- Develop and implement export sales plans and strategies.
- Set sales targets and objectives for international markets.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Work jointly with the sales director to negotiate terms of sales agreements, including pricing, delivery and payment terms.
- Prepare and manage sales contracts in terms of finding distributors in new territories.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with international clients.
- Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Analytical skills to interpret market data and sales performance.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple clients and sales processes.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different cultural and market environments.
- Meetings with the sales director to review targets and progress.
- Respond to emails and inquiries from international clients.
- Coordinate with internal sales for quote preparations and proposals for potential customers.

- Plan monthly site visits to African territories for customer solution finding and product recommendations.
- Identify and target new customers.
- Review and update sales contracts and documentation.
