Key Qualifications and Skills: Fitter Trade. Proven experience as a Fitter. Sound knowledge of local and state building codes. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Exceptional welding and mechanical skills. Key Responsibilities: Study drawings and specifications to determine material, method, and sequence of operations. Assemble fabricated metal parts and sub-assemblies to produce machines and equipment. Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy and fit using precision measuring instruments. Set up and operate machining tools and presses, ensuring prescribed cutting and shaping tools are in place. Shape metal stock and castings with precision using machining tools. Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines. Diagnose faults, perform operational maintenance, and repair machines and mechanical parts. May be involved in on-site machine and equipment erection. This role requires the ability to concentrate for extended periods, work with precision, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
