About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Germiston. As a Turner, you will play a critical role in shaping materials according to specifications, ensuring optimal performance and safety of machinery, and contributing to the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Operate lathes and other machinery to shape materials according to specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand production requirements.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and designers to adjust designs as necessary and resolve any issues that arise during production.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production processes, materials used, and any defects or issues encountered.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of lathe operation and machining processes.
