About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, relationship-focused, and technically skilled Broker Consultant to join our marketing team. The role involves working directly with brokers, understanding their needs, and driving business growth. You will also collaborate closely with senior management and underwriting teams to support broker engagement, product communication, and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing brokers through regular visits and feedback.
- Understand brokers’ needs and ensure these are met; resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Source and onboard new brokers within the allocated area.
- Build brand awareness and drive product communication.
- Provide accurate management information to support decision-making.
- Deliver technical training and ongoing support to ensure high service levels in the designated area.
- Stay up-to-date with competitor products, services, and industry developments.
- Prepare technical quotes and engage in discussions with brokers.
Requirements
- Matric.
- 10 years experience in the insurance industry with knowledge of underwriting processes.
- 3 years experience in Broker Consulting (advantageous).
- Short-term Insurance qualifications.
- RE 1.
- FAIS compliant.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel).
