A leading insurance underwriting manager in South Africa is seeking a technically skilled Broker Consultant to join their marketing team in Nelspruit. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working directly with brokers to understand their needs and drive strategic engagement while supporting operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing brokers through regular visits and feedback.

Business Development: Source and onboard new brokers within the allocated area and drive brand awareness.

Technical Support: Deliver technical training and ongoing support to ensure high service levels.

Quoting & Analysis: Prepare technical quotes and engage in detailed discussions with brokers regarding products and services.

Market Insight: Stay up-to-date with competitor products and industry developments to provide accurate management information.
Candidate Requirements

Education: Matric (non-negotiable).

Industry Experience: 510 years of experience in the insurance industry with solid knowledge of underwriting processes

Specialized Experience: 3 years of experience in Broker Consulting is highly advantageous.

Certifications: Relevant short-term insurance qualifications, RE 1, and full FAIS compliance.

Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Afrikaans.

Logistics: Must possess a valid drivers license and own reliable, insured transport for regular travel throughout the province.
