About the Role
Our client has an EE opportunity available for a Broker Consultant in Port Elizabeth, where you will be responsible for sourcing and securing new business opportunities with corporates, unions, churches, individual clients, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and securing new business opportunities with corporates, unions, churches, individual clients, and more.
- Sourcing new brokers and maintaining relationships.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships in all business levels.
- Ensuring that there are no unreasonable post-sales barriers faced by clients.
- Keeping updated with competitor products and services offering and industry developments.
- Dealing with queries and providing information on a range of sales and service issues.
- Consistently striving to engage with clients to drive company values.
- Preparing and delivering clear and thoughtful presentations to various clients and potential client audiences with diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- Matric
- NQF level 6 qualification or a 3-year relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
- RE5 Regulatory Examinations for representatives.
- 60 FAIS credits or full FAIS recognized qualification.
- Class of Business and Product specific training in category 1 life and friendly societies.
- 12+ years of Continuous Professional Development per CPD cycle.
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance legislation.
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle.
- Sound knowledge of long-term insurance or employee benefits products.
- Knowledge of underwriting processes.
- 5+ years experience in the insurance industry in the group funeral or group risk market.
- Broker consulting, trade unions and funeral parlors experience in an insurance company.
- Experience in establishing contacts and relationships with decision makers.
- Proven sales track record.
