About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Team/Technical Lead to join their team in Midrand, GP. The role involves providing technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship as part of an agile development team building enterprise-grade software systems on top of Microsoft .NET Core.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full lifecycle software development (SDLC)
- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, and software architects on planning, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web- and desktop-based business applications built primarily on Microsoft technologies
- Assist in collecting and documenting user requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans
- Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
- Package and support deployment of releases
- Work with teammates in migrating legacy applications to current Microsoft technologies
- Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
- Perform after-hours checks on systems, processes, and application results as per support schedules to ensure advance warning on any issues and to resolve any such issues before business resumes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of coding languages, systems, patterns, and methodologies: C#, MS SQL; T-SQL, Web API 2 / Core & Rest web services, .NET Core, ASP.Net, WinForms; UWP, Entity Framework 6+, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, SSRS, MVC, MSSQL Server, HTML 5, JavaScript
- Six years of experience as a Software Developer
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software
- Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments
- Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum
- Experience with multi-threading and concurrency
- Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and optimization
- Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
