About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Industrial Engineer to drive performance, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency across our transport and fleet operations. This role sits at the intersection of Operations and Finance, focusing on improving fuel efficiency, fleet utilisation, maintenance cost performance, and driver productivity through advanced analytics, modelling, and dashboard automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse fleet performance, utilisation, fuel efficiency, and operational costs
- Identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities
- Develop performance benchmarks and support optimisation initiatives
- Monitor fuel consumption, cost per km, and route efficiency
- Analyse fleet utilisation, downtime, and asset productivity
- Evaluate repair and maintenance cost trends and lifecycle performance
- Support cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives
- Develop automated dashboards using Power BI or similar tools
- Deliver weekly and monthly operational performance insights
- Translate data into actionable operational recommendations
Requirements
- BEng / BSc Industrial Engineering (Essential)
- 38 years Industrial Engineering or Operations Analytics experience
- Experience in logistics, transport, fleet, or distribution environments strongly preferred
- Proven experience analysing operational performance and cost drivers
