About the Role
Our client, a leading consulting and digital transformation partner in the financial services sector, is seeking a highly experienced Systems Analyst with strong payments domain expertise. This is not a functional BA role. We are specifically looking for a technical, delivery-focused Systems Analyst who understands integrations, APIs, data mapping, and payment ecosystems end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret business requirements within complex payment ecosystems
- Translate requirements into detailed system specifications and technical artefacts
- Produce functional and technical specifications (FSDs, integration specs, API contracts)
- Conduct data mapping and field-level analysis across multiple systems
- Support system integration between internal platforms, payment gateways, and third-party vendors
- Facilitate solution design workshops with architects, developers, and stakeholders
- Perform impact analysis across payment systems and related upstream/downstream systems
- Work closely with QA to ensure solution alignment and test coverage
- Support UAT and production deployment readiness
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience as a Systems Analyst (pure SA role)
- Proven experience within payments environments (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of: EFT Card acquiring / issuing ISO8583 messaging, Payment gateways, Reconciliations, Transaction lifecycle management
- Strong experience with: API integrations (REST / SOAP), Data mapping, SQL querying, System integration design
- Experience working within financial services or banking environments
Qualifications
- Relevant IT / Computer Science / Information Systems qualification
- Certifications in systems analysis or payments (advantageous)
