About the Role
A well-established company that offers professional steel processing services is currently recruiting for a TIG Welder in the Germiston area. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on ferrous and non-ferrous materials used in the manufacturing of components, assemblies, and structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on ferrous and non-ferrous materials
- Adhere to welding codes and interpret technical drawings and work procedures
- Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys using TIG
- Fabricate pipe/tube and sheet metal components with precision
- Work independently or as part of a team in a workshop/m manufacturing floor environment
Requirements
- Occupational Certificate: Welder (NQF Level 4) SAQA ID 94100 or equivalent
- TIG / GTAW competency obtained through accredited training
- Trade Test Certificate
- 2-5 years TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Proven experience in welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys using TIG
