About the Role
The Administration Controller/ 2IC/ Assistant Store Manager role is a critical position that requires exceptional administrative skills, financial management expertise, and excellent customer service abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of store operations, managing cash handling, and maintaining high standards of administration, security, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash: Ensure daily banking in conjunction with the Store Manager as per procedures, balance cash ups, and maintain the drop safe.
- Administration: Control standard office procedures, prepare requisitions for stock replenishment, and ensure daily morning filing is done according to procedures.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in back office and Cash Desk area.
- Security/Risk: Manage security of back office and front cash desk, prevent shrinkage, and ensure Health & Safety standards are met.
- Customer Services: Train staff in customer service at the cash desk, assist customers with enquiries and complaints, and apply Customer Service principles daily.
- People Management: Manage performance and development of cash desk staff, enforce disciplinary action when necessary, and manage time and attendance.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- NQF 5 Certificate in Retail/Business Administration
- Computer Literate: Word and Excel
- 2 – 5 years in relevant sales/cashier environment
