Postmasburg: Crusher Manager – (Head of Crushing)

About the Role

The Crusher Manager – Head of Crushing position is a critical role in our operations, responsible for overseeing the crushing circuit design and optimization, as well as ensuring the efficient maintenance and upkeep of heavy plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance systems
• Manage breakdown response and root cause analysis
• Oversee shutdown planning and execution
• Control spares strategy and critical parts stockholding
• Improve Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)
• Manage contractors and OEMs such as Metso, Sandvik, Terex, Astec
• Ensure statutory compliance and engineering standards
• Lead CAPEX projects and upgrades
• Monitor Key Engineering KPIs:
• Plant availability %
• Mechanical uptime %
• MTBF / MTTR
• Maintenance cost per ton
• Energy consumption
• Shutdown performance vs schedule
• Spares holding value
• Safety incidents / zero harm

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works advantageous in South Africa
• Trade Test beneficial
• ECSA registration advantageous
• Experience:
• 10 years in heavy plant engineering
• 5 years in supervisory/managerial role
• Mining, quarry, coal, iron ore, manganese, or aggregates experience
