Fire System Design Engineer is Required by a Manufacturing Company in Centurion Responsible for the design of fire protection (detection and suppression) systems. Conduct risk assessment and determine scope definition Apply codes / standards / specifications to ensure systems and products are aligned to accepted fire protection standards and legislation Review existing client documentation to provide solutions. Generate the following documentation for projects according to project requirements: -Preliminary and/or detailed designs -Calculations – BOM -Reporting -OEM Manual Provide technical support for internal departments on various projects Provide technical support to clients as and when required Provide field support as and when required Provide commissioning support Use of hydraulic simulation software (Pipe flow or similar) Use of drawing programs (AutoCAD, Inventor or similar) Use of Visio Knowledge of relevant codes and standards: -NFPA -FM -SANS -ASIB -Client Fire Standards (Anglo, Eskom, etc) 5 -10 years Fire Protection Design and Installation (essential) Piping systems experience (essential) B. Tech or B. Eng in Mechanical
Salary R30000 – R50000
