Job Summary
Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in backup and recovery or IT support roles. Familiarity with backup technologies is a plus. Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of backup and recovery principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders. Additional Requirements Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Storage) are preferred. Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining independent judgment. Flexibility to support backup activities as needed. Key Responsibilities Backup Strategy Development: Design a comprehensive backup strategy that aligns with data protection policies and recovery objectives. Backup Management and Monitoring: Oversee backup processes, ensuring successful completion and reliability through regular testing. Disaster Recovery Planning: Collaborate on disaster recovery plans and participate in drills to validate and enhance recovery strategies. Data Recovery Operations: Respond to data loss incidents, executing recovery procedures and providing technical support. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of processes and generate reports for management review. Training and Awareness: Educate IT staff on best practices and promote awareness of data protection importance. Contract Details Primarily based in IT Operations, with opportunities to engage across various departments.
