Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
Lead and champion the detailed design of solution architectures for the Modern Workplace, aligning with our digital transformation roadmap. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders across project lifecycles to drive the planning, design, and implementation of our solutions. Provide technical subject-matter expertise on one or more Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) areas. Translate business requirements into a comprehensive strategy for systems solutions, adopting a cloud-first approach and prioritizing security. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to drive for results. Leverage data and telemetry to make informed decisions and drive feedback into system design and implementation. Foster collaborative partnerships with other teams to improve products and processes. Utilize advanced technical expertise to coordinate multiple work streams and resolve complex issues. Serve as the face of the UEM Product, presenting to BMW leadership and building relationships with key stakeholders. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with other products and engineering groups across BMW. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment and mentor early-career individuals. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor`s degree or equivalent 15 years of experience in the IT industry 5 years of experience in a Senior/Expert Architect environment Experience with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, ITIL, and COBIT Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of endpoint management tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), VMware Workspace ONE, or similar platforms Understanding of endpoint security principles, including antivirus, anti-malware, firewalls, encryption, and security policies Proficiency with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile OSes (iOS, Android) Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) as they pertain to endpoint connectivity and security Knowledge of cloud architecture across OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, and elastic scalability Skills in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation of tasks and configuration management Soft Skills: Problem-solving skills with technical proficiency and strategic thinking Cross-divisional relationship building skills and ability to collaborate with partners Ability to drive for results and influence for impact Proactive problem identification and solution proposal Ability to work interdependently and independently Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs Above-board work ethics Ability and willingness to coach and give training Agile mindset Willingness to travel internationally
