Job Summary
Operations1. Planning, routing, and scheduling of vehicles for work allocated.2. Ensure that drivers are contacted, and updates obtained with regards to their progress and are circulated to management team. 3. Ensuring all cargo uplifted from the Port within the allocated timeframe and empty containers returned to depots on time avoid demurrage/storage charges.4. Escalate any issues which cannot be resolved to management, advising whether any pending claims so that management may action accordingly. 5. Make appointments for deliveries and/or collections from Transnet Port Terminals on the Navis system, as and when required. 6. Ensure the pre-departure and debriefing of drivers for any special requirements of the client, when required.7. Ensure that all drivers are contacted and workplan changes are communicated to them, as required. 8. Ensure that Management are advised of all defects on vehicles by reviewing driver submitted inspection sheets.9. Follow up with repairs and maintenance to ensure that vehicle repairs are concluded timeously.Administration1. Daily receiving and capturing of documentation (CTOs, delivery notes and trip sheets) for deliveries concluded in the previous day, on the in-house excel reporting file. 2. Reconciliation of submitted documentation to trip sheet summary page. Working knowledge of Excel and Transnet Navis system is non-negotiable. Email CV to Siyaya Logistics
