Job Summary
Job Title: Punching Manager
Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Punching Manager to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The Punching Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production of punched products in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in punching operations and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the punching department
- Manage the scheduling of production orders to meet customer demand
- Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards
- Train and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
- Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to senior management
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and disciplinary procedures.
- Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees.
- Solid planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of change management.
- Analytical skills to interpret trends and draw conclusions from data.
- Experience in leading and evaluating team performance.
- Familiarity with packaging processes and machines is a plus.
- Knowledge of printing and packaging materials, including papers, inks, and chemicals, is an advantage.
- Understanding of quality standards and procedures.
