Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Setter to join our client in the plastics industry. The Machine Setter will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of machinery to ensure it is producing quality products efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints, and experience with various types of machinery.

Responsibilities:
1. Set up machinery according to specifications and blueprints
2. Adjust settings on machinery to ensure proper operation
3. Monitor machinery during operation to ensure it is running efficiently
4. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation
5. Perform regular maintenance on machinery to keep it in optimal condition
6. Train and mentor other machine operators as needed
7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
8. Keep accurate records of machine settings and maintenance activities
9. Communicate with supervisors and other team members to ensure production goals are met
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. At least 2 years of experience as a Machine Setter or similar role in the Plastics industry
3. Relevant trade test.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machinery operations
4. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
5. Experience with various types of machinery, such as lathes, drills, grinders, and CNC machines
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Strong communication skills
9. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
