Job Summary
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Superintendent for a mining company. As a Senior Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations and activities on construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise construction activities to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities, including contract management and negotiations.
- Manage and mitigate risks on the project site to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and review project schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, including changes in scope or unforeseen site conditions.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior construction personnel.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing construction projects, preferably in the mining industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Experience in planning and organizing construction activities, including the management of resources and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver`s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
