Job Summary
Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor (QS) based in Rivonia. Our client, a respected player in the construction and engineering industry, is looking for a dedicated professional who can contribute to their ongoing projects with expertise and precision. As a Mid-Level QS, you will play a crucial role in the financial management and cost control of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to advise on budgetary requirements.
- Manage and track project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to review project specifications.
- Evaluate contractor bids and prepare tender documentation.
- Assist in negotiations with contractors and suppliers to secure the best value.
- Monitor progress and advise on any adjustments that may be necessary.
- Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor`s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and methodologies.
- Strong background in civil/infrastructure projects and building works,
- Experience working with the NEC3 contract.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and project management software.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
