Job Summary
Minimum Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Relevant degree or Supply Chain Diploma (e.g., SAPICS) is advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an FMCG environment or a similar position.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with software packages such as Sage Evolution, SAP, Syspro, or similar.
- Experience with purchasing/buying negotiation.

- Ability to multi-task and handle pressure effectively.

Key Performance Areas:
- Review production plans and prepare forecasts for material required in production.
- Source and procure products in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure availability in accordance with the production schedule.
- Coordinate the purchasing function collaboratively with sales & marketing, production, warehousing, and production planning.
- Maintain and develop good relationships with vendors.
- Source, evaluate, and recommend new suppliers and materials that help generate cost savings or reduce usage without compromising quality.
- Fulfill contract manufacturing commitments by managing purchases within agreed contract parameters.
- Generate, adjust, and expedite purchase orders to align inventory levels with production schedule requirements.
