Our client is in the Freight Forwarding Sector.
Job Description
You will be expected to perform the following Key Functions:
- Handle import & export (air & sea) shipments / files
- Must know the Incoterms
- Must know the import & export procedures when handling these files
- Must be able to liaise with our overseas offices
- Arrange necessary documents
- Little knowledge on perishable / reefer shipments (document requirements, PPECB inspections, etc)
- Must be able to do estimates/quotes
- Liaise directly with the shipping lines, transporters, Customs, all other suppliers
- Liaise directly with the customers (origin & destination)
- Must be able to arrange insurance, where necessary
- Creditors` disbursements and process debtor`s invoices
- Customer service orientation – Able to handle a demanding customer environment
- Comply with the requirements of the quality management system
Qualifications
Certificate/Diploma
Skills
- Must have strong imports (air, sea & road) background as well as exports (air, sea & road) background.
- Must know Cargowise
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to pay attention to details and work under pressure
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
