Job Summary
Y RecruitSolar Design Engineer Randburg, Johannesburg.The Solar Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring they meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.This role involves performing site assessments, creating detailed design plans, and collaborating with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality Solar Energy solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of e11perience in solar PV system design.Proven experience with solar design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope).Skills and Competencies:Design solar PV systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope).Develop detailed electrical and mechanical plans, including layouts, single-line diagrams, and system schematics.Calculate and optimize system sizing, energy production, and efficiency.Perform load analyse and grid interconnection studies.Ensure compliance with local, state. and federal codes, regulations, and industry standards SSEG & NERSA applications.Generate technical reports, including performance analysis and system validation.Assist in the development of operation and maintenance manuals.Excellent understanding of electrical and structural design principles.
