Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team on a 12 months contract. This role will be a remote opportunity and the ideal candidate will have working experience within the Banking Industry and of analysing requirements and extracting test scenarios and test conditions from the business / functional requirements, strong knowledge with writing test cases from extracted test scenarios as well as understanding and experience in working with mainframe systems and testing mainframe systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support regression testing of legacy applications and as well as ad-hoc work.
- Effectively work in a fast paced environment utilising the Agile methodology
- Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilising frameworks and best practices
- Execute test scripts to validate correct functionality of application
- Perform various types of testing including smoke, white box, black box, integration, end-to-end, and regression
- Participate in requirement & design review sessions evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality test automation standpoint
- Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality
- Multitask to meet assignment deadlines
- Accurately estimate work assignments
- Identify obstacles and roadblocks? and offer suggestions to work around obstacles
- Help drive and improve QA process within the team you are assigned
Requirements:
- Min 5 years Banking Industry
- Exposure to Atlassian suit
- Strong working experience in functional, system, integration and regression testing.
- Intermediate to senior exposure on any automation tool
- Must be able to debug applications and analyse the root cause
- Should have good understanding of services
- Able to run tests against services
- Working experience of analysing requirements and extracting test scenarios and test conditions from the functional requirements
- Strong understanding of writing test cases from extracted test scenarios
