Job Duties

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts, and dispatches.

Operations Management

  • Plan and coordinate warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for warehouse activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate warehouse efficiency.

Team Supervision

  • Assign and supervise tasks for warehouse staff, ensuring productivity.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices and safety standards.
  • Resolve conflicts or issues within the team to maintain a smooth workflow.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Logistics Coordination

  • Collaborate with suppliers, transporters, and clients to coordinate deliveries and shipments.
  • Schedule and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Address issues related to delayed or damaged shipments.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and present reports on inventory, operations, and performance.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Handle administrative duties, such as filing and updating warehouse policies.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure tools and machinery are in good working condition.

Cost Control

  • Monitor warehouse expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Optimize storage space and resources to maximize efficiency.
