Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Labour and Employment Law Attorney with a strong background in employment-related legal matters. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently and effectively handle a diverse range of labour law cases.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA proceedings, and Labour Court cases.
- Draft legal documents and pleadings independently without the need for counsel assistance.
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on labour law and employment-related matters.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation.
- Manage and resolve disputes related to workplace misconduct, employee grievances, and unfair labour practices.
Minimum
Requirements:
- Admission as an attorney in good standing with at least 3-5 years of post-admission experience in labour and employment law.
- Proven experience in handling internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA, and Labour Court matters.
- Strong drafting skills and the ability to prepare legal papers independently.
- In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws and related regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
