Job Summary
Duties:
- Determines vehicle condition through conducting inspections and tests, identifying worn and damaged parts
- Repairs vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems
- Complies with regulations of vehicle requirements by testing engine and safety
- Maintains vehicle records by documenting services and repairs
- Keeps workshop equipment in working order, following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance
- Limit costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options
- Ensure supplies are ready by placing orders, verifying receipt
- Provide technical guidance / support for other technicians in service department
- Housekeeping, make sure of the cleanliness of the workplace, tools and equipment
- Assist with routine non-mechanical / non-electrical and small repairs
- Maintain a daily flow of quality and accurate written records and other paperwork for invoices record purposes
- Ensure the highest standard of courtesy, client service and integrity when interacting with customers, colleagues and members of the public
- Perform workshop related work as required and any other duties required by Management
Requirements:
- Qualified Diesel Technician
- Trade Certificate
- Must have more than 3 years’ experience in role of Diesel Mechanic working on light commercial and passenger vehicles
- Valid Drivers License
- Automotive Industry Experience ESSENTIAL!!!
