Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Triple BEE requirements and the Mining Charter.
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining high-quality standards.
Tender and Contract Management
- Oversee tender processes and evaluate proposals to secure value-driven contracts.
- Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance.
Vendor and Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and service delivery.
- Drive initiatives for vendor development and compliance with BEE codes.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of procurement professionals.
- Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
Import/Export and ERP Management
- Oversee import/export operations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Utilize ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field (CIPS certification required).
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in procurement within mining, manufacturing, or construction industries.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of Triple BEE procurement and Mining Charter requirements.
- Proficiency in tender and contract management, import/export processes, and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
