Job Summary
Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating theatre.
- Competently administering Intravenous and Intramuscular medication
- Ensure that health care is provided to all patients according to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Plan, organize and ensure control of all activities within the framework of the position and that staff adheres to the companies` policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure that skills development plans are in place for staff and continuous training is provided according to the need.
- Ensure that all quality standards and control measures are known and that it is adhered to.
- To contribute actively to teamwork and ensure efficiency of the team on a continuous basis.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree as a Registered Nurse with experience in Theatre Nursing
- Current Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Operating Theatre
- A qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science will be an advantage
- Theatre Scrubbing skill is essential
- 2 years of experience in a private hospital setting.
- Flexible in working hours/Shifts
