Job Summary
An essential services company operating under the OHS Act specializing in Risk Management, Fire Equipment, Detection and Sprinkler systems, First Aid, and associated training services. We require the services of an OHS Specialist for their Bloemfontein Branch.
Skills:
- Previous experience in similar or same industry would be beneficial.
- Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Motivated self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment.
- Must have a strong understanding of financials and profit margins.
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.
- Strong leadership, motivation, and managerial skills essential.
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated success managing inventory, including forecasting and planning.
- Experience developing and implementing business plans and goals.
- Developing strategies to eliminate, reduce, or control risks, ensuring that the work environment is safe.
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures tailored to the organization, ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
- Designing and delivering training sessions to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of machinery.
Requirements:
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Pastel, etc.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in similar position
