Leading Safari Company is recruiting an Accounting Officer for a live-in role based at a Safari Camp in Mara Region.Experience required:3 years finance degree or relevant qualification (preference will be given to candidates witha CPA)3-4 years experienceMicrosoft Office, Computer literate – Excel is essentialPanStrat experience preferableFluent in English (oral and written)Analysis and problem solvingCritical thinking Attention to detailTeamwork/collaborationAbility to work under pressureGood communication skillsResult-oriented and deadline-drivenSound Ethical standardsDuties include:Correct authorisation and allocation of business expenditureDemonstrate and lead with an independent mindPrepare supplier payment requestsInterpretation and analysis of management accountsAssist with payroll preparation and reconciliationsCollation and resolution of general ledger queriesResolve all queries on balance sheet reconciliationsManage and update stock sheetsMeeting certain non-negotiable finance deadlinesManage and supervise all reportsMaintaining stock control proceduresActively assist with the month-end stock takesActively monitor, formulate and update the internal controls within the lodgePerform regular audits Reviewing that expenditure is kept in line with the budgetThis is a permanent position based at a safari camp in the Mara region, Tanzania.
