Job Summary
Leading Touring/Hospitality Company is recruiting an Assistant Accounting Officer for their mobile camp operations in Tanzania. This is a live-in role in the Mara region. Experience required:3 years finance degree or relevant qualification (preference will be given to candidates with a CPA)3-4 years experienceMicrosoft Office Excel basics are essentialPanStrat experience preferableFluent in English (oral and written)Analysis and problem-solvingCritical thinkingIndependentAttention to detailTeamwork/collaborationAbility to work under pressureGood communication skillsPatience a mustResult-orientated and deadline-drivenSound Ethical standardsDuties include:Financial ManagementCorrect authorisation and allocation of business expenditureDemonstrate and lead with an independent mind Timely and accurate recording of transactionsPrepare supplier payment requestsInterpretation and analysis of management accountsAssist with payroll preparation and reconciliationsCollation and resolution of general ledger queriesResolve all queries on balance sheet reconciliationsManage and update stock sheets ReportingMeeting certain non-negotiable finance deadlinesProvide timely feedback on management accountsDriving monthly finance meetingsOversee and assist in the compiling of budgets and quarterly forecastsAssist lodge managers/Directors with queriesAssisting with year-end auditReconciling various accounts
