Role Overview

The Assistant Financial Manager will support the hotel’s finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, operational excellence, compliance, and team leadership. This role is integral to driving financial integrity, cost efficiency, and supporting the hotel’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee reconciliations and ensure timely month-end/year-end processes
• Prepare reports and analysis to support decision-making

Operational Oversight

• Supervise Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll, and Income Audit
• Manage cash flow, daily cash handling, and banking relationships
• Support inventory control, cost analysis, and internal audit processes

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Implement and monitor financial controls
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with all local financial and tax regulations

Team Leadership

• Train, guide, and review work of junior finance staff
• Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration

System & Software Management

• Manage and optimize SUN, Opera, and Micros systems for financial operations

Cost & Budget Management

• Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and financial improvements
