Alberton: Grinding Mill Technician / Supervisor

Qualification Relevant Technical Qualification in Mechanical Engineering Requirements Minimum 5 years’ proven experience working on Grinding Mills – Ball / SAG. Excellent mechanical and operational fault finding skills. Extensive experience and knowledge on gears, pinions, drive trains components, bearings, shell and head replacements. Must be able to align Girth Gear. Strong knowledge of installation, alignment, and maintenance procedures. Duties Supervise and execute grinding mill installations. Assist engineers with planning, scheduling, and coordination of mill installations and maintenance activities. Ensure quality control and adherence to specifications, with detailed reporting on work performed. Provide technical support and guidance to clients, offering solutions. Ensure on-time execution of installation and maintenance projects. Apply experience and technical knowledge to achieve mill performance and extend lifespan. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and progress updates. Support training and mentoring of junior technicians.
