Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s Client is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and highly organized Supply Chain Planner to their our team in Alberton, Gauteng, on an 8-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials across the supply chain. This role will require ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining optimal stock levels, and aligning supply with demand forecasts.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to facilitate efficient product production, delivery, and storage.
  • Oversee and monitor stock levels across the entire supply chain, ensuring inventory meets demand without overstocking.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal teams (sales, production, logistics) to forecast demand and adjust supply plans accordingly.

Inventory Management:

  • Track inventory levels and collaborate with procurement to ensure stock availability for production while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Regularly review inventory, updating reports to identify and address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Coordinate stock movements across locations to ensure availability and accurate tracking.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods, meeting customer requirements.
  • Track and manage shipments, resolving any transportation or delivery issues quickly.
  • Ensure that logistics operations align with the company`s overall supply chain goals.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Maintain supply chain records and generate weekly/monthly reports on inventory, orders, and supplier performance.
  • Analyze supply chain data to detect trends, risks, and opportunities to improve supply chain processes.
  • Provide management with insights to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with procurement, production, and distribution teams to streamline supply chain functions.
  • Ensure clear communication with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Address and resolve any supply chain issues promptly to avoid delays.

Qualifications &

Requirements:

Education:

  • A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related fields (Degree or Diploma).

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain planning or logistics management.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and supply chain management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
