Job Summary
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Executive Chef for a river lodge with views of the Himalayas in Bhutan.Experience required:Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staffAt least 6+ years of relevant experience as an Executive Chef in a 5-star propertyPassion for creating fabulous foodPlease note to be an expat wanting to apply you need to have a Chefs Diploma/Degree for work permit reasonsDuties include:Kitchen Hygiene standards setResponsible for training chefs & implementing kitchen standardsDrive, train the Chef AcademyMenu set according to Food Styling Guide Presentation as discussed and according to the Styling GuideGood communications Good stock controls and stock rotationGood administration and personnel files Responsible for all food orders, storerooms and fridge and deep freezesLeft-over managementAll food going out to guests at any time to be checked by chefChef to check buffets/dinner/breakfasts Minimal traffic through kitchenCanteens organisedGood interaction with GuestsGood discipline and fair treatmentBe aware of make your chefs aware of special dietary needs This is a live-in position with benefits.To apply please send updated CV, references and food portfolio to Executive Placings
