Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s Client is seeking to hire a Registered Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Benoni. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost management, procurement, and contract administration for infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient financial control and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cost analysis, estimation, and budgeting for FM infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.
  • Monitor project costs and provide financial reports to ensure budget compliance.
  • Administer and manage contracts, including claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Perform site visits to assess project progress and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in quantity surveying practices.
  • Utilize cost management software and tools for accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Provide expert advice on value engineering and risk management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Registered with a recognized professional body (e.g., SACQSP, RICS, ASAQS).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in FM infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NEC, JBCC, FIDIC, or GCC contract frameworks.
  • Knowledge of asset management and life-cycle costing.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and green building standards.
