Job Summary
VACANCY: SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Purpose of the Role:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a team or department during their shift. This includes ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations while meeting production targets.
The role combines supervisory, operational, and safety duties, emphasising motivating employees, maintaining discipline, and supporting management in daily operations.
RequirementsEducational Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Certificate
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
- 35 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with concrete or manufacturing concrete products will be highly advantageous.
Skills & Competencies:
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance targets.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear instructions and reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to resolve issues effectively.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and understanding production drawings.
- Organizational Skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Reliability & Accountability: Dependable, responsible, and committed to high work standards.
- Adaptability: Flexible to adjust to changing priorities or work conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving materials if required.
- Team-Oriented: Collaborative approach with a focus on fostering a positive team environment.
- Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and handle challenges calmly and effectively.

Requirements:
- Fluent in English (speak, read, and write).
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Clean criminal record.
- Must provide a reference from the last employer.
Shift Details:
- Shifts rotate weekly as follows:
- 06h00 to 14h30
- 14h00 to 22h30
- 22h00 to 06h30
Compensation:
Salary:
R17,700.00 per month- Additional Benefits: 10% night shift allowance for night shifts
