Job Description
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain the full general ledger, including journals, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts with supporting schedules
- Perform variance analysis against budget and prior periods, providing meaningful commentary to management
- Ensure all financial records comply with IFRS standards and OEM group reporting requirements
Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, provisional tax, and income tax returns
- Ensure compliance with all South African statutory and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with SARS, auditors, and external advisors when required
Accounts & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and reporting
- Ensure timely processing of payments and collections in line with company policies
Fixed Assets & Controls
- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation accurately
- Assist in developing and enforcing strong internal financial controls
- Support risk management and governance processes
Budgeting, Forecasting & Audit Support
- Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring clean audit outcomes
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries
Qualifications & Experience
- BCom Accounting / Finance or equivalent qualification (essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within an OEM, automotive environment
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
- Experience working in a head office or group reporting environment advantageous
- Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!!
