About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious retail leader to join our team as an Area Manager in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving territory sales targets, developing Beauty Coaches, and ensuring exceptional brand execution across counters, activations, and events. This is a visible, high-impact position on the retail floor, offering real ownership and autonomy to manage your own territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly and annual sell-out targets across your area
- Plan call cycles and store coverage using CRM tools (e.g. Skynamo or similar)
- Analyse sales data, identify opportunities, and implement corrective action
- Drive merchandising excellence, in-store visibility, and second point-of-sale
- Lead, coach, and motivate Beauty Coaches across multiple retail doors
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and in-store activations
- Coordinate events, pop-ups, and demonstrations to drive footfall and conversion
- Track event ROI and feed insights back into territory planning
Requirements
- 58 years of experience in retail sales
- At least 3 years in a people management role
- Strong background in beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, or premium retail
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver against sales targets
- Confident working with sales data, reporting, and CRM tools
Qualifications
- Matric essential
- Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or similar (advantageous)
