About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Storeman to join our team on a reputable construction project in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling site stores, ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of materials and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full management of construction site stores
  • Receiving, issuing and recording of materials and tools
  • Maintaining accurate stock control and inventory records
  • Conducting regular stock counts and reconciling variances
  • Ensuring proper storage, security and housekeeping of materials
  • Liaising with site management, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and site safety requirements

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) compulsory
  • Trade Certificate or RPL essential
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Store Clerk / Construction Storeman
  • Proven experience working on construction sites
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Good communication skills
